Apple Festival Becomes USCF Race

Montrose, PA -- The 2006 edition of the Montrose Apple Festival Road Race is being held September 9th and is now a USCF event. The challenging course has traditionally been one of the regions "season ending" road races, garnering a fantastic turnout even as a citizens race.

There is a $150 bonus to anyone who can break the course record of 1 hour and 5 minutes currently held by Mike Jones of the HealthNet Professional Cycling Team.

Bring the family and enjoy the Apple Festival festivities being held right near the start and finish lines. There are vendors, games, and more! It's a great way to ring in the fall! All proceeds benefit the Susquehanna County Literacy Program.
